Eisenia fetida and hortensis
Red earthworms are great for feeding birds, reptiles, and small mammals.
We offer these in two sizes small (1 to 1.5"), and jumbo (1.5" to 3.5") though we will pick the largest and often include eggs (cocoons) in the bedding. Each cocoon with hatch 1 to 5 worms.
SMALL WORMS: store between 50 and 75 degrees, do not refrigerate.
JUMBO WORMS: keep refrigerated for longer storage.
Upon arrival remove the lid to allow fresh air into the cup and add a few drops of water if needed to keep the bedding moist. Red worms breathe through their skin which must be moist at all times.
