Orange Head roaches are a fast breeding roach originating in South America.
They are soft shelled (exoskeleton) and winged, though they do not climb nor fly.
No special lighting is required, they live happily from 75 to 90° with breeding occurring in the higher range. They LOVE humidity so mist them daily.
House them with lots of vertical egg flats to avoid fighting.
Orange head are very carnivorous; they will chew other roaches wings when protein needs aren't being met. We always recommend Repashy Bug Burger but they can also be fed Repashy Meat Pie
They will breed quickly when kept at 80 to 90° during both the day and night. Eggs are live born after incubating an ootheca, with 30 to 40 tiny 2mm roaches being born after a 30 day incubation period. They will reach adult size at 2 inches at four months; they lie 1 to 2 years.
